This is Jane Austen! Is it her best book...no. However, it is still a classic. The heroine is a little too good to be true which makes it a little difficult to relate to her. However, the descriptions of her life with her father and older sister are heart wrenching. There is not a lot of conversation in the book and it moves slowly from one location to another, including Lyme and Bath. Anne gave up her first and only love eight years before, after being persuaded to do so by an older, maybe wiser, Lady Russell. Now she meets him again. Will first love prevail?
