Meandering Em's

Passion is books, photography, running and traveling. Also passionate about environmental issues.

The Postman Always Rings Twice - James M. Cain I don't see the connection between the title of the book and the story. I thought it was a fascinating portrayal of a wandering "bum" who meets a married woman, has an affair with her and then they both decide to kill her husband. However, the plotting and planning doesn't help when the unexpected happens. Eventually, their sins will be punished, but not in the way the reader expects. This book was originally banned because of the sexual content, which is mild considering what most people see daily at the movies or on TV.
