Revolutionary Road - Richard Yates A very readable story of a husband and wife who are determined not to be an ordinary couple. They believe they are special with sophisticated tastes and thoughts. In reality, they are both shallow. Their long conversations actually say nothing important. They are extremely selfish, especially April, the wife and mother of two. Despite the fact that no one in the book is likeable, I enjoyed reading the book. The couple finally get their wish to be spectacular, but not in the way they expected. The marriage of two immature people ends with horrific results.
