We Have Always Lived in the Castle

This is an amazing psychological thriller of three people living life after the rest of their family had been poisoned. It doesn't take long to discover who the murderer is, but that is not the point of the book. The most horrific part of the book is the attitude and prejudice of the townspeople towards those who are different from themselves. The actions the villagers take as part of an unruly mob were truly appalling.
