This was the best in the Forsyte Saga. The Great War is over, the Victorian era has been left behind and Britain is beginning its decline as the world power. Fleur is not affected by any of the world events around her. As the only child of Soames, she has been spoiled. One day she meets Jon, the son of Soames' ex-wife. She is determined to have him (own him.) The only thing stopping her is the past. Neither Fleur and Jon know the sordid past of their parents. Will they be able to overcome the past hatreds in their families?
