This is considered a children's book. However, it is one that I never read as a child nor that I read to my children while homeschooling. It is not the type of book I normally read, since it is also a fantasy tale. However, I really enjoyed the book. It is a tale of good fighting evil in the universe. There is much that is Biblically based, including direct quotes by some of the "good" guys. There are also inferences to events in the Bible scattered throughout. Meg is the main character of the book. She must fight against the bullies in school as well as her own personal demons of anger and impatience. In addition, she must fight a spiritual battle against evil. In the process, Meg bravely fights for her baby brother as she learns the power of love.
