Not Quite Dead Enough - Rex Stout This book is comprised of two novellas written during World War II. Archie is in the military, who wants Nero Wolfe's expertise to solve a puzzling problem. The first book concentrates on Archie's efforts to get Wolfe interested in solving cases for the Army. This is difficult because Nero Wolfe has decided he needs to lose weight and to be fit for military service. In the second novella, Wolfe needs to find out who is murdering military personnel by following the protocol of the Army. Although both books were fun to read, these are not top-notch Stout books. Since these were written during W.W. II, I was intrigued by the conditions of New York City during that crises.
